• More Spanish Lessons ... and curry!

Well i learnt One, Two, Three, Four, Five in Spanish today!

Also Danielle and i went for a curry and got totally stuffed! Then afterwards we started our Spanish lessons. Again we revised numbers and i started to learn how to say different things such as 'These are my sisters', 'My friend has been teaching me Spanish, and i have brought this book for you to teach you English kids songs'.

For homework i am going to try and translate the other songs for the children, thus learning Spanish at the same time. Then i will get her to check it.

    So Adios!

  • Spanish Lessons

I had my first Spanish lesson yesterday!

Bless Danielle was so patient a good little teacher! i learnt numbers and started to learn the days of the week. It is quite hard to learn when its the first attempt at the language but i feel like im getting used to the accents and different pitches. I just have to learn how to get a good conversation going!

    we will see! x

  • University Update

    Hello again,

It's been a while since i have written on here so just thought i would update. On the 6th of March i found out that i have been offered a place at Winchester University on the Journalism degree there. I had to go for an interview on the 27th of February, which roughly a thousand people were going for and there was only 20 places! I'm so chuffed i got in! This is probably the best course in the country and so i will make sure i work 110% and try and get a 1st if possible!

Anyway, personal life is still a little messed up, still broken up and so will need to get over that as soon as i can. Which may be a little easier when i have no time to think and lots of work to do, new people to meet and new aspirations for the future.

I've filled in a couple of pages now in my little 2008 black book for my future. I must say it's looking good and has the new edition of my acceptance letter from Winchester! So the future is a little brighter which is great. Spanish lessons with my collegue starts tomorrow!

    Night my little bunnies

  • Spanish lessons

Good news today ladies and gents,

We had a new Locum start at my work today ... who is here for one month, which coincedently how long i have left at work. Anyway, it turns out she comes from somewhere near Peru! How strange. She is lovely and has offered to teach me Spanish at my house after work. That will also give her a chance to gt out of her B&B and relax when she wants. So yeah, a good start to the Peru trip then cuz she has a Spanish accent!

Anyway I'm shattered so i am going to bed.

Oh and also i have applied to ITV and BBC today for work experience! How exciting!

    night night x

    Hey,

Today i decided to sort myself out in advance for my trip. So i bought a black photography style book to fill with pictures of the kids, the Inca remains, scenery and my travels, things ive seen and possible even the start of my University life. It'll be a great thing to show my children when their older and to generally look back on.

I started out with my aspirations for 2008. I wrote down lots of different words on the first page, such as; happiness, confidence, presenting, love, friends and family (as in spend more time with), perspective, University and Journalism. Hopefully i will make the best of this year and have my 21st year as a fresh start, a new Yasmin with any luck!

    Watch this space!

  • Vaccinations

    Hello there again,

It's just occured to me after chatting to my housemate that it would be a really great idea to look into getting vacinations against minor things such as, oh lets see... hepatitis A!! Yep, intelligent Yaz has made a critical error in this travelling malarcky! Oh well, i will have to see about doing that as soon as i can.

On the up side i managed to listen to my Ipod on my lunch break which now holds my Spanish 'cd' on it. So theres a bonus.

    night ladies and gents x
